지난주 한국소식, 대통령 탄핵/대한민국 – 조선민국 차이나, 자유 사회주의
교회는 중국의 3자교회로 전환, 천주교,불교, 기독교 안에도 사회주의가 만연하다.
중국인들은 영주권,정부보험,연금등 각종혜택/미국동포 – 보험을 사야한다. 특혜전혀없다.
종려주일은 예수님이 마지막 구속사역을 시작하시는 첫발이다.
예수께서 예루살렘에 들어오실 때 백성들이 종려나무(Palm tree)가지를 들고 환영했던 이름으로 종려주일이라 말한다. 백성들은 호산나 다윗의 자손이여 찬송하리로다 주의 이름으로 오시는이여 가장 높은 곳에서 호산나 하더라
예수는 나귀새끼를 타고 입성하는데 겸손하여 나귀새끼를 탔다고 말하고 있다.
예수님의 겸손에 대하여 생각해보자. = 온순, 순하다.
스가랴 9장 9절- “시온의 딸아 크게 기뻐할지어다 예루살렘의 딸아 즐거이 부를지어다 보라 네 왕이 네게 임하시나니 그는 공의로우시며 구원을 베푸시며 겸손하여서 나귀를 타시나니 나귀의 작은 것 곧 나귀 새끼니라.미천하여(신분이나 지위가 낮고 보잘것없다)
세상의 지위,위치,직분,명함도 내놓을게 없는 천하고 별볼일 없는 사람이다.
겸손이 단어사전의 겸손이 아니다. 단어의미 보다 더 깊은 의미가 있다.
하나님의 예언의 말씀을 성취하심
세례요한은 예수보다 6개월먼저 태어났다. 거의 같은 비슷한 나이였다.
세례요한은 예수를 만났을 때 무릎을 꿇고 나는 당신의 신들메를 풀기도 감당치 못하겠다고 말했을까? 메시야, 그리스도이기 때문에? 어떻게 메시야요 그리스도를 알았을까?
요1:33(나도 그를 알지 못하였으나 나를 보내어 물로 세례를 주라 하신 그이가 나에게 말씀하시되 성령이 내려서 누구 위에든지 머무는 것을 보거든 그가 곧 성령으로 세례를 주는 이인줄 알라 하셨기에 내가 보고 그가 하나님의 아들이심을 증거하였노라 하니라)
예수님은 자신이 하나님의 아들이라 하면 귀신이 들렸다, 교만하다, 미쳤다 비방을 당하고 욕을 먹고 소송을 당하게 된다. 후에 당하게 되었다.
구약의 선지자의 예언의 말씀을 성취함으로 하나님의 아들, 메시야라는 사실을 알리는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다.
왜? 성도는 하나님의 말씀대로 살아야 하나요?
말씀대로 살아야 영으로 사는 것이다. 말씀대로 살으라고 명령하셨으니 명령과 뜻을 따라야 한다.
몇몇 이유가 있지만
말씀대로 살아야 하나님의 사람이요, 하나님의 자녀인 것을 나타내는 것이다.
말씀대로 살지 못하는 것, 살지 않는 것은 본인 스스로 나는 하나님의 사람이 아니요, 자녀가 아닌 것을 말하고 있는 것이다.
한국사람은 한국의 법을 따르게 되어있고, 미국시민은 미국 법을 따르게 되어있다.
2025년 4월달에 tax report 하셨나요? 왜 하셨어요. 미국시민이니까? 당연한 것 아니겠어요. 하나님의 말씀으로 사는 것이 백성과 자녀의 마땅한 일이다.
겸손은 하나님의 말씀의 성취입니다. 말씀대로 사는 것은 자녀의 마땅한 일입니다.
겸손은 하나님의 말씀으로 당연히 마땅히 살아야 할 모습입니다.
2. 겸손은 죄인들을 구원하기 위해서
예수께서 세상에 오신 목적
가. 마9:13(나는 의인을 부르러 온 것이 아니요 죄인을 부르러 왔노라 하시니라)
나. (막 10:45)인자가 온 것은 섬김을 받으려 함이 아니라 도리어 섬기려 하고 자기 목숨을 많은 사람의 대속물로 주려 함이니라”
다.(요일 3:8)"하나님의 아들이 나타나신 것은 마귀의 일을 멸하려 하심이라.
예수께서 제자들의 발을 씻기시며 섬김의 모습을 보여 주셨다.
당시 사람들이 양말이나 신발을 신지 못했다. 샌들정도 양말,신발은 부자집,왕실사람들
어릴적, 고무신신고 놀때는 맨발로 뒤놀던 때로 연상하자.
냄새나고 때묻고 상처난 발을 씻기듯 수치와 창피와 부끄러운 죄를 씻기신 예수님
발을 씻기듯 십자가의 죽음으로 인간의 모든 죄를 그 피로 씻겨 주셨다.
3. 백성들의 모습
예루살렘 입성에 백성들은 춤추며 기뻐하며 환영식을 가졌다.
고관 앞에서 옷을 벗어 바닥에 펴는 것은 복종의 상징이었다
종려나무 가지도 승리의 표시로 사용되었다.
그랬던 백성들이 예수님이 장로들이 보낸 사람들에 붙잡혀 로마 법정에 세웠다.
대제사장,서기관,바리새인, 백성들이 합세하여 총독 빌라도에게 예수를 고소했다.
빌라도가 심문을 하니 아무죄를 발견하지 못했다. 풀어주려고 하려하니 성난 군중들이 민란이 일으킬 것 같아 너희는 어떻게 하기를 원하느냐? 십자가에 못박아 죽이라.
그리고 살인죄를 지은 바라바는 풀어주게 했다.
요 19:25-26 예수의 십자가 곁에는 그 어머니와 이모와 글로바의 아내 마리아와 막달라 마리아가 섰는지라.
막 15:39-41 예수를 향하여 섰던 백부장이 그렇게 숨지심을 보고 이르되 “이 사람은 진실로 하나님의 아들이었도다.” 하더라. 멀리서 바라보는 여자들도 있었는데 그 중에 막달라 마리아와 또 작은 야고보와 요세의 어머니 마리아와 또 살로메가 있었으니, 이들은 예수께서 갈릴리에 계실 때에 따르며 섬기던 자들이요, 또 이외에 예수와 함께 예루살렘에 올라온 여자들도 많이있었더라.
제자들 조차 배반하고 떠나간 자리, 연약한 여인들만 남은 자리 = 십자가의 자리
신8:2(신명기 8:2 네 하나님 여호와께서 이 사십년 동안에 너로 광야의 길을 걷게 하신 것을 기억하라 이는 너를 낮추시며 너를 시험하사 네 마음이 어떠한지 그 명령을 지키는지 아니 지키는지 알려하심이라)
성경은 성도를 하나님의 군사라고 말씀하고 있다.
디모데후서 2:3 -네가 그리스도 예수의 좋은 군사로 나와 함께 고난을 받을찌니
군인=일반병(육군-취사,통신,수송/공군/해군) 특수병(해병,특전사,UDT)
군인은 체력을 키우고 몸을 단련시켜 적과 싸워 이기게 함
성도는 마음을 단련시켜 좌우로 치우치지 않게 하고/영적전쟁에서 승리하게 함
April 6 – Palm Sunday (Matthew 21:1–11)
Recent news from Korea:
Presidential impeachment, conflict between “Republic of Korea” and “Joseon Democratic Korea” (North Korea-China alliance), freedom versus socialism.
Churches are being transformed into state-controlled “Three-Self” churches like in China. Socialism is rampant even within Catholicism, Buddhism, and Christianity.
Chinese immigrants enjoy permanent residency, government health insurance, pensions, and various benefits.
Meanwhile, Korean Americans in the U.S. must purchase insurance and receive no such privileges.
Palm Sunday: The Beginning of Jesus’ Final Redemptive Work
Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Jesus’ final journey of redemption.
When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the people welcomed Him by waving palm branches, shouting:
“Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
Jesus entered riding on a donkey’s colt—showing His humility.
Let us reflect on the humility of Jesus.
The Bible describes Him as gentle and meek.
Zechariah 9:9 –
“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is He, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”
Jesus was lowly—not in status or reputation, but in character.
He had no earthly position, title, or status to boast of—He lived as one without honor in the eyes of the world.
Humility is more than the dictionary definition; it holds a deeper, spiritual significance.
1. Jesus Fulfilled the Prophetic Word of God
John the Baptist was born about six months before Jesus.
When John saw Jesus, he said:
“I am not worthy to untie the straps of His sandals.”
Why did he say that? Because he recognized Jesus as the Messiah.
John 1:33 –
"I myself did not know Him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’”
Even though Jesus said He was the Son of God, people accused Him of being demon-possessed, arrogant, or insane—and they eventually took Him to court for it.
Thus, the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy was critical in revealing Jesus as the Son of God and the Messiah.
Why Must Believers Live According to God's Word?
To live by God’s Word is to live by the Spirit.
God commands us to live according to His Word.
Why?
Because living by the Word reveals that we are children of God.
Those who don’t live by the Word are, in effect, saying: “I am not God's child.”
Just as Koreans follow Korean law, and U.S. citizens follow American law, believers follow the Word of God.
Have you filed your taxes in April 2025? Why did you do it? Because you’re a U.S. citizen—it’s expected.
Likewise, it is natural and rightful for God’s children to live according to His Word.
Humility is the fulfillment of God’s Word.
To live according to His Word is the rightful life of His children.
Humility is the natural way of life for those who live by God’s Word.
2. Humility is for the Salvation of Sinners
Why did Jesus come to this world?

Matthew 9:13 –
“I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” -
Mark 10:45 –
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” -
1 John 3:8 –
“The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.”
Jesus showed humility by washing the disciples’ feet.
In those days, people didn’t wear socks or shoes—only sandals. Only the rich and the royal wore proper footwear.
Imagine children playing barefoot in old rubber shoes—dusty, dirty, bruised feet.
Jesus washed such feet—washing away shame, filth, and sin.
Likewise, by His death on the cross, He washed away all our sin with His blood.
3. The People’s Response
When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowd rejoiced and held a celebration.
Laying down cloaks before Him symbolized submission.
Waving palm branches was a sign of victory.
But these same people later joined with the religious leaders—priests, scribes, Pharisees—and accused Jesus before the Roman governor Pilate.
Pilate found no guilt in Him and sought to release Him.
But the angry mob cried out, “Crucify Him!”
And so, Barabbas—a murderer—was released instead.
John 19:25–26 –
At the foot of the cross stood His mother, His aunt, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
Mark 15:39–41 –
The Roman centurion said, “Surely this man was the Son of God.”
From a distance stood the women who had followed Jesus from Galilee, including Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and Salome.
Even when the disciples had fled, it was the women—faithful and tender-hearted—who remained at the cross.
Deuteronomy 8:2
"Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep His commands."
Believers Are Soldiers of Christ
2 Timothy 2:3 –
"Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus."
Just as soldiers train their bodies to fight, believers train their hearts to remain steadfast.
We fight not physical enemies, but spiritual battles.
Let us live humbly, as Jesus did—fulfilling God's Word, serving others, and remaining faithful even in hardship.
